Pigeon Spikes

Jesus turned and saw her. "Take heart, daughter," he said, "your faith has healed you." And the woman was healed from that moment. ~Matthew 9:22

Ugh. I hate moving.

And so it begins. The hellish nightmare of changing residences. I am blogging, obviously, to put off the inevitable. I am procrastinating. When I finish I might actually wash some dishes (which I also hate, but it's the lesser of 2 evils.) Then, packing. Tomorrow at 12 the keys are handed over, the transaction complete. Rich and I will start carrying suitcases and bags of stuff to the new flat. Max is coming to look over the apartment (he's my painting expert) and change the locks. Sunday evening some our friends (mostly the ones who owe us a favour because we lugged stuff from NA for them) are going to help us move furniture. Monday the fridge is coming.

Good news: Sunday afternoon we're bringing Sparky home!!! Thank you Uncle Marek for taxiing us to Lwowek and back all the time!

I'm not looking forward to painting, but I'm excited about living in an apartment with normal coloured walls. Agata's apartment is nice and Monika and Marek's is gorgeous, but almost every other place I've been in here has at least one or two rooms salmon and turquoise. It makes me wanna puke! No offense anybody who has these colours, it's just not my taste.

Well, I guess I should go... I'll try to take lots of pictures.

I was looking through some picture files and found this one. On the left is, Agata, my dearest Polish friend who married Bert and moved to Oregon. Monika on the right (from church) and, of course, me in the middle.

Whiskey, Elvis, Oscar, Tiger, Darby, Seymor, Sparky...

It's about time I wrote :) It's been a busy week getting back into the swing of things, back to life as usual. More stuff to do regarding the apartment. AND, we went to see the puppy!!! (Me, Rich, Monika and Marek)
Now, the hard part. Thinking of a name. Above are the ones at the top of the list. Please vote or suggest some of your own. You really need to look at the picture and look into his precious little eyes. We all agree he was the best puppy in the litter - fearless, friendly and sturdy. Isn't he just the cutest?!?!?
The next 2 weeks are semester break. Off again :) Butit couldn't have come at a better time and all of it will be filled with the puppy, the apt, painting, shopping, oh so many things! It really won't be a break at all. I'll put more pics up then.
